Allied Health Celebrations

23 - 29 th October was Occupational Therapy week with the theme this year “ Unity through Community ”. The Occupational Therapy Department at Ryde, Graythwaite Rehab Centre and CAReS support patients, families and carers in the hospital and community. The team partners with patients to achieve their personal goals, by ena- bling independence in everyday activi- ties and identifying the equipment and supports they need. NSLHD Chief Executive, Anthony Schembri visited Ryde for OT week celebration on 24th October.

Allied Health Professions Day was on Saturday 14 October . Ryde celebrated with a Gelato van for staff, salted caramel was the winning flavour, and a spe- cial lecture on resilience in the workplace. We are proud to have had a number of staff nominated for the NSLHD Allied Health awards. Congratulations to Sarah Drake who won the NSLHD Allied Health Leader of the Year. ( see photo gallery)
