Summertime brings a unique feeling of joy for kids and adults. The days are longer, and there’s so much to do! Here are a few events that are sure to give you that summertime vibe.

HANDS-ON-HISTORY DAY CAMPS Where: Castillo and Fort Matanzas When: June 3–7, 10–14, 17–21, 24–28 Admission : $25 Website: NPS.gov/casa/learn/kidsyouth/index.htm During these five-day sessions, your kids will get a hands-on experience with an age long since passed. The camp is for children between the ages of 9–11 and promises to keep your kids entertained with projects, games, presentations, and demonstrations. The subjects that are covered at the day camp include Native American history, archaeology, and colonialism in Florida. Visit their website to save a spot today!

SUNSET MOONRISE TOURS Where: St. Augustine Lighthouse When: See Website for Details Admission : $30 Website: Staugustinelighthouse.org/events/ sunsetmoon.html Not only will guests learn about the St. Augustine’s lighthouse, but they will also get to enjoy a beautiful sunset and slow ascent of the moon. Attendees will also be treated with hors d’oeuvres and Champagne while they take in the view. If you happen to miss the tour this month, don’t worry. The vendors attending will have plenty of trinkets, delicious foods, vegetables, and fruits for you to choose from. Guests are welcome to enjoy a morning walk through the market, peruse the treats on display, and mingle with local farmers and other market attendees.
