This philosophy is in accordance with state and federal mandates. If a related service or services cannot be provided by a Charter Local Education Agency (LEA), the Charter LEA may contract with a California Department of Education (CDE) certified nonpublic, nonsectarian school or agency (NPS/NPA) in accordance with the requirements of a Master Contract and an Individual Service Agreement (ISA). For mental health services, employees, vendors or contractors of the State Department of Mental Health, or any designated local public mental health agency, may provide related services in accordance with procedures outlined in local interagency agreements. NOTE: All services may not be available in all areas. Please check with the program specialist assigned to the specific Charter LEA with any questions regarding this chapter.
