9TH ANNUAL SUMMER SOIREE On Tuesday, June 21, 2022, we held our 9th Annual Summer Soiree hosted by Billy Costa of KISS 108. Located under a magnificent tent on the shores of Webb State Park, this event brought together local businesses, community leaders, restaurants, and spirit providers, but most importantly, the individuals and families that we have supported for the past 71 years. It featured gourmet food from Abby Park and Novara, Fasano’s Catering, Fratelli’s Bakery, Oro, Precinct 10, Montillio’s, Cabot Cheese, Burton’s Grille, Legal Seafood, and Grille 151 as well as spirits from the Boston Beer Company, Boston Harbor Distilleries, Tito’s, and the Latitude Beverage Company. There was live music by The Joneses and unique auction and raffle items. For the first time, we also featured a VIP Chef Reception. This event drew more than 250 guests, and together we raised $180,000 to support our mission to empower people with disabilities.
1ST ANNUAL HOLIDAY FESTIVAL On Sunday, December 12, 2021, we held our 1st Annual Holiday Festival Featuring Winter Sleigh Rides at Webb State Park . This unique community event benefited 400 individuals from across the South Shore and raised $13,600 to support our mission. It featured horse-drawn sleigh rides, live music, pictures with Santa, arts and crafts projects, and refreshments. The event allowed participants to share in the holiday spirit, socialize with peers, enjoy live music, express their creativity, and interact with animals. It added to the cultural vitality of the region while fostering greater inclusion for people with disabilities.
PARTICIPANTS PUBLISH A BOOK Individuals in the Pathways to Possibilities program collaborated with Student Treasures Publishing Company to publish their own book at no cost. Each individual worked with staff to create a story ranging from autobiographical pieces to fictional stories with personal photos or artwork. The book gave participants an opportunity to share part of what makes them special with the world. At our Pathways program, anything is possible.
