Time To Plan for Football Season SIDELINE SPORTS VANDERBILT BASKETBALL - Chandler Bing became the third member of the 2025 Vanderbilt men’s basketball high school recruiting class. A 6-foot-6 winger from Atlanta, Bing played his high school basketball at Pace Academy. He averaged 19.3 points as a senior, helping Pace to a 27-5 mark this season. Bing played an integral part in leading Pace to the Georgia 4A state title game this spring. In addition to his 19.3 points, Bing averaged 6.2 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.3 steals per game in 2024-25. The newest Commodore shot 59 percent from the field, co-leading Pace on the season. Bing led Pace with 72 steals and was second on the team with 25 blocks. Bing ranked as one of the most efficient offensive players in high school basketball this season, averaging 1.14 points per possession. He capped his prep career by earning All-Metro and All-State honors. MIAMI FOOTBALL - Kickoff times for Miami Hurricanes football games in 2025 have been announced. Miami’s season opener against Notre Dame will kickoff at 6:30 p.m. on August 31. The Hurricane's September 6 game against Bethune-Cookman at Hard Rock Stadium will feature a 6 p.m. kickoff, with broadcast set for ACC Network Extra. The following week, the Hurricanes’ home non-conference game with USF on September 13 will begin at 3:30 p.m. with broadcast on The CW. Miami’s ACC matchup with Louisville is slated for Friday, October 17. The game will kickoff at 6 p.m. on either ESPN or ESPN2. All times are central. Early Season Game Times Released By Brandon K. Pierce The Sports Ledger The SEC has released kickoff times and TV networks for the first three weeks of the 2025 season, giving football fans a chance to plan ahead. AUBURN The Auburn Tigers will open the season on the road at Baylor in a rare Friday night game. The Tigers and Bears will kick off at 7 p.m. CT on August 29, and the game will be televised on FOX. It’s only the fifth match-up between the two schools and the first since 1976. Kickoff on the Plains on August 30 in Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Austin Peay on September 6 at 2:30 p.m. CT. The game will be streamed on ESPN+/SECN+. Georgia has played Austin Peay one other time, defeating the Governors 45-0 in 2018. On September 13, the Bulldogs travel to Tennessee in the SEC opener at 2:30 p.m. CT. The Bulldogs have won eight straight games over the Volunteers. The once dubbed largest cocktail party between Georgia and Florida will be held on November 1 in Jacksonville. The Bulldogs are 7-1 versus the Gators since 2017 after defeating UF 34-20 in 2024. The Bulldogs will conclude the regular season against Georgia Tech on Friday, November 28. The match-up will be played in the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta at 2:30 p.m. CT and ABC will televise this battle. The Bulldogs' seventh consecutive victory over the Yellow Jackets came last year during an eight-overtime win in Athens. MISSOURI The Missouri Tigers will open the 2025 football season against Central Arkansas on Thursday, August 28 at Memorial Stadium. "Kickoff in CoMo" is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. CT and will air nationally on SEC Network. The game marks the fourth consecutive year in which the Tigers have opened their season in the prime- time slot and the eighth weeknight game at home since 2015. Missouri will welcome Kansas to Columbia for the first time since 2006 on September 6. The SEC-Big 12 contest is set for 2:30 p.m. CT on ESPN2. For the third week of play, the Tigers host Louisiana in a 3 p.m. CT contest at Memorial Stadium on September 13. SEC Network Plus and ESPN+ will broadcast the game. Additionally, all games will air on the Tiger Radio Network with Mike Kelly, Howard Richards and Chris Gervino on the call. The remaining game window designations for the 2025 season will be announced on June 11.

The Tigers are 106-16-3 all-time in home openers. In week three, Auburn will host South Alabama at 11:45 a.m. CT on September 13 for this year’s Homecoming game. The game will be televised on the SEC Network. It is the first ever meeting between the two schools. ALABAMA Alabama's season opening football game at Florida State will be held on August 30 at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee, FL. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. CT. The Crimson Tide Will kickoff the 2025 home season against ULM at 6:45 p.m. CT on September 6 at Bryant Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa. Alabama will remain at home the following week, as the Crimson Tide will welcome Wisconsin to Saban Field at 11 a.m. CT. The first SEC match-up of the season for Alabama will be at Georgia on September 27. That game's kickoff time has not been announced. FLORIDA STATE Florida State's second game of the season will be on September 6 against East Texas A&M. Kickoff time will begin at 11 a.m. CT. Additionally, three road game times and TV designations have been set for the Seminoles. FSU will travel to Virginia on Friday, September 26. The game will kickoff at 6:00 p.m. CT on ESPN. On Saturday, October 18, the Seminoles will play at Stanford and the game will be on ESPN at 9:30 p.m. CT. Florida State will also play on Friday, November 21 at NC State and that game will start at 7:00 p.m. CT on ESPN. TENNESSEE The University of Tennessee's season opener will be against Syracuse in the Aflac Kickoff Game. The Vols and Orange are slated for an 11 a.m. kickoff
2025 home season against Uconn at 11 a.m. CT on September 6. Tennessee's Sept. 6 home opener against ETSU will kick off at 2:30 p.m. CT on ESPN+/SEC Network+. The Volunteers' SEC opener versus Georgia on September 13 will be held at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville on at 2:30 p.m. CT on ABC. OLE MISS Ole Miss opens the 2025 football season at home on August 30 with the program's first-ever meeting against Georgia State. Kickoff time is set for a 6:45 p.m. CT on the SEC Network. The Rebels will open SEC play the following week, traveling to Kentucky for the first time since 2020 on September. 6 for a 2:30 p.m. CT kickoff on ABC. Ole Miss returns home the following week for another conference match- up, this time welcoming the Arkansas Razorbacks on September 13. That game will kickoff at either 6 p.m. or 6:45 p.m. CT, and will air on either ESPN or SEC Network. The 2025 Battle for the Golden Egg at Mississippi State has been set for 11 a.m. CT on Friday, November 28, and will air on either ABC or ESPN. This year will mark the 122nd all-time meeting between the Rebels and Bulldogs, as well as the 98th Battle for the Golden Egg. MISSISSIPPI STATE Mississippi State will open the season at 11 a.m. CT on Saturday, August 30 at Southern Miss. That game will be broadcast on ESPN. The Bulldogs will host Arizona State on Saturday, September 6, at 6:30 p.m. CT, with the contest being broadcast on ESPN2. The Sun Devils will make their first trip to Starkville in the return game of the home- and-home series with Arizona State, which started last season in Tempe. Mississippi State will host Alcorn State on Saturday, September. 13, at 5 p.m. CT. That game is set

FLORIDA The University of Florida football program has set the game times and television designations for four of the program's 2025 matchups. The Gators will open the 2025 campaign against Long Island on August 30 at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville. Kick off is slated for 7 p.m. on ESPN+/ SECN+. Florida will then host South Florida on September 6 in Gainesville at 4:15 p.m. on SEC Network. On September 13, the Gators will open SEC play at LSU at 7:30 p.m. on ABC. The annual Florida-Georgia game will take place at EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville on November 1 at 3:30 p.m. on ABC. In addition to the home season opener against Long Island the Gators will play the following games at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium: USF (Sept. 6), Texas (Oct. 4), Mississippi State (Oct. 18), Tennessee (Nov. 22), and Florida State (Nov. 29). Those game times have not yet been set. GEORGIA Five of Georgia's upcoming 2025 regular season football game times have been released. The Bulldogs' 2025 season opener will be held on August 30 against Marshall at Sanford Stadium in Athens. Kickoff will be at 2:30 p.m. CT and the game will be televised by ESPN. The Bulldogs won the only other game between the two schools in 2004 with a 13-3 victory in Athens. Georgia will host
ALBERTVILLE FOOTBALL - Coach Bert Browne resigned as the head football coach of Albertville High School on Thursday, May 22. The program has began an immediate search for the next Aggie head coach. AUBURN WOMEN'S GOLF - Auburn women’s golf has signed Molly Brown Davidson. She will join the Tigers for the 2025-26 season after playing one season at Alabama. As a freshman at Alabama, Davidson made the starting lineup in each team event and finished within the top 20 in five tournaments. She also led the Crimson Tide in rounds of par or better with 11. As a junior, Davidson was named a Rolex Junior All-American in 2023 and participated in the Wyndham Cup that year. In 2022, Davidson was named the AHSAA Women’s Player of the Year an AHSAA 7A Individual State Champion. She has also made the cut in two Epson Tour events and was a USGA National Developmental Program Team USA selection. Davidson also competed in the Alabama Southern Junior Cup three times as a junior player and holds one AJGA tournament title. The Springville, AL, native has many family ties to the Plains, as both of her parents attended Auburn University and her brother, Cole, currently attends Auburn. Davidson plans to study Aviation Management. UAB FOOTBALL - The dates and times have been set for UAB Football’s first three contests of 2025, along with a late season non-conference game at UConn. The Blazers first two home games on Thursday, August 28 against Alabama State and Saturday, September 13 vs. Akron are both at Protective Stadium and both will kickoff at 7:30 p.m. CT on ESPN+. Additionally, UAB’s Week 2 conference game at Navy on September 6 is slated for 2:30 p.m. CT on CBS Sports Network. The Blazers will face UConn at 11 a.m. CT on Nov. 1 in East Hartford on CBS Sports Network. The opener against Alabama State will be the fourth straight year kicking off the season on Thursday and the seventh time in the last eight years opening on a Thursday. The Week 3 contest against Akron is the second game of a home-and-home series which dates back to 2019 when the Blazers defeated the Zips 31-20 in Ohio. The return game in Birmingham was supposed to be in 2020 but it was rescheduled for this season. UAB’s remaining kick times, beginning with a Week 4 contest at Tennessee, will be announced 12 days prior to each game as the season progresses. The American Athletic Conference Football Championship Game will air on ABC on Friday, Dec. 5 at 7 p.m. CT. It will be the 11th consecutive season that The American Championship will be televised on ABC. AUBURN SOFTBALL ADDS DUO - A duo of talented student-athletes will continue their collegiate careers on the Plains as co-head coaches Chris and Kate Malveaux announced the additions of Ella Harrison and Alyssa Hastings to the 2026 roster. Harrison joins the Tigers after a breakout freshman season at Rutgers where she was named to the Big Ten All- Freshman Team and was a NFCA All-Northeast Region selection. The right-handed pitcher set the single season strikeout record at Rutgers with 213. She is originally from Clarence High School in New York. Hastings spent the last two seasons at Lipscomb. The utility athlete made history this season as Lipscomb’s first NFCA First Team All-Region honoree in program history. She is originally from Huntsville and she attended Buckhorn High School where she was two-time All-State selection.
