Luc Lalonde: Un homme qui va au bout de ses rêves !

fait, cette année j’amène ma mère à Vienne voir les marchés de Noël. Et ça, en partie, je le fais pour mon père. » Plusieurs choses figurent sur son buc- ket list. Entre autres, Luc aimerait faire un voyage autour du monde en avion et écrire un livre. Mais le plus gros élément sur sa liste était le spectacle, dont l’inspiration lui est venue d’une chanson du compositeur américain Cole Porter, artiste qu’il admire depuis toujours. L is for Love « L’idéem’est venue de créer un spectacle en écoutant la chanson What is this thing called Love. La chanson m’a fait réfléchir à ce qu’est l’amour : ce sentiment que nous connaissons tous et qui nous a donné autant de plaisir que de peine. » Pour l’aider à accomplir son rêve, Steve Boudreau, pianiste de jazz - venant d’un monde classique également - s’est joint à son aventure. « Ça va être extraordinaire, j’ai un des meilleurs pianistes de jazz d’Ottawa qui m’accompagne » a-t-il ajouté. « Je suis tellement excité, mais aussi très nerveux ! » Intitulé L is for Love, le spectacle prendra vie le 12mai à l’auditoriumDe La Salle, 501, ancienne St-Patrick, à Ottawa. Au menu de la soirée, le public pourra apprécier, à tra- vers des histoires et des chansons, 17 chan- sons de Cole Porter. Les billets, au coût de 20 $, sont disponibles en ligne via le réseau Admission.
Après avoir retrouvé une liste des choses qu’il voulait accomplir avant de mourir, Luc Lalonde s’est lancé sans regarder en arrière. En effet, l’homme natif de Bourget est sur le point de produire son propre spectacle de cabaret / jazz sous le thème de l’amour ! Ayant une formation classique, ce concert diffère complètement de ce que Luc fait normalement enmusique. Durant ses études à l’École secondaire publique Lasalle, en concentration musique vocale, Luc tombe en amour avec le chant classique. Il poursuit donc ses études universitaires à McGill à Montréal, où il complète un baccalauréat en chant avec une concentration en opéra. Afin de faire avancer sa carrière, il démé- nage et s’installe à Paris, où il habite pendant quatre ans comme enseignant d’anglais. De retour au pays, il travaille au sein de l’Agence des services frontaliers du Canada et œuvre maintenant au sein de la Commission de l’immigration et du statut de réfugié du Canada. Néanmoins, la musique a toujours fait partie intégrante de sa vie et il continue à se produire dans la région. « J’ai toujours été chanteur classique, mais de chanter lors d’une soirée cabaret / jazz, c’est un fantasme qui existe dans ma vie depuis longtemps. » En effet, il y a deux ans, Luc avait décidé
