Thanks to the generosity of Transportation Insight associates, the Hickory Service in Action 2019 Backpack Drive was a great success. School supplies and monetary donations provided by Transportation Insight associates and our supporters allowed us to fill 150 backpacks. Of those, 75 will go to area elementary school students. Students attending middle school or high school will receive 75 backpacks, and remaining supplies will be donated to the Catawba County Foster Care program. Following this year’s generous donations, the Transportation Insight team answered the call again to help pack the backpacks. To those who contributed donations or volunteered your time and efforts, Service in Action extends its gratitude. Your assistance allows us to help meet significant needs that exist in our community. Thank you.
