Qualifying Work Experience You need to complete at least two years of full-time Qualifying Work Experience (QWE) at up to four organisations. This can be taken before, during or after SQE1 and SQE2.
QWE is any paid or unpaid experience that gives you the opportunity to develop the competencies needed to practise as a solicitor. It could include:
•Undertaking a training contract •Working in-house •Working as a paralegal •Placements during a law degree •Working in a law clinic •Working at a voluntary or charitable organisation, or a law centre
