Air pollution
Polluted air, when inhaled, can pose health risks such as respiratory problems and heart problems, especially for vulnerable groups such as children, the elderly and people with health problems. Furthermore, air pollution harms the environment, contributing to climate change through greenhouse gas emissions, impacting air and ecosystem quality, and causing acidification of soil and water. It's crucial to prioritize efforts for cleaner air to protect human health and preserve the planet.

Indoor & outdoor air quality
Outdoor air quality, influenced by various factors like industrial emissions, vehicular exhaust, and natural sources, directly impacts the air we breathe when we're outside. effects on our health. Proper ventilation, air filtration, and reducing indoor sources of pollution are essential for maintaining good indoor air quality. Indoor pollutants, such as mold, dust and volatile organic compounds (VOCs), can have negative

Why SGS?
We are SGS, the world's leading company in testing, inspection, and certification. Recognized as a global quality and integrity standard, our 99,600 employees operate in 2,600 offices and labs, fostering a safer and more interconnected world. With a history of success in large-scale international projects and a global presence, we bridge cultural gaps and offer innovative solutions for the oil, gas, and chemicals industry. SGS has many years of experience with air analysis (desorption tubes, passive badges, canisters, stack emission). In these years, SGS has successfully supported many companies in sampling and objectively analyzing their air quality.

Why canisters? When using charcoal tubes, passive monitoring badges or other techniques to sample air, consider the advantages that canister air sampling can offer: Ensure more stable and reliable data. Detect lower to high concentrations (LOQ). No need for a pump due to vacuum pressure. Flexible sampling periods, including grab sampling and time-integrated options ranging from minutes to a week. Retesting possible (depending on volume). Large list of components possible. Extended holding times.
9
An extensive list of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC’s) most of which are part of the 97 toxic organic VOC’s listed in the EPA TO15-15 and EPA TO-15A. Any other VOC if the vapor pressure of the target compound is suitable to be sampled with canisters. A list of sulfur containing compounds. SGS is also able to analyze according to the MassDEP method which includes the aromatic-aliphatic split of the petroleum hydrocarbons in the air phase. A limited list of PFAS compounds. What can we measure?
