WE ARE DELIGHTED TO BE BACK IN BEAUTIFUL SAVANNAH FOR A THIRD CONSECUTIVE YEAR. I THINK IT’S SAFE TO SAY THAT GEORGIA COLOR HAS FOUND A PERMANENT HOME HERE. Thirty masterful artists from across our great state have gathered to paint the city and its surroundings, share their talent, and exhibit fresh, original work in a single exhibition space. The art is the main attraction, but it’s only part of what makes this a special six-day event. Our unique experiences are designed to enrich and inspire. Each day features talks and demonstrations offering insights into the artists’ creative processes, tips for aspiring artists, and engaging conversations about the world of plein air painting. Join us on Skidaway Island as our artists reveal the magic of the barrier island. We welcome those who love Ossabaw Island, as well as fans of the Savannah Book Festival, for art-filled evenings in the Exhibition Gallery. And don’t miss our timed painting competition, PaintQuick , in Ellis Square! We invite you to immerse yourself in the world of plein air—to watch, learn, connect, and experience the excitement of artists creating in the moment. You will not want to miss the Artist Welcome Reception and the Artist Awards & Collectors Celebration , two very special ticketed events. If you find a painting to purchase at either event, we will deduct the cost of your ticket from the purchase price. I also want to extend my heartfelt thanks to our generous artist housing hosts, artist award sponsors, corporate sponsors, Host Committee, and Friends of the Show. Your support makes Georgia Color possible. Many thanks as well to our valued Community Partners, including the Landings Art Association, the Savannah Arts Association, the Ossabaw Island Foundation, the Savannah Book Festival, the Savannah Downtown Business Association, Friedman’s Framing, and so many others who have helped make this event a success. Sincere thanks to our panel of judges—Beth Logan, Joe Bush, and Peter Roberts— and, of course, to the thirty participating artists who have brought their remarkable talent and enthusiasm to Georgia Color. And finally, thank you —our patrons, collectors, friends, and visitors—for being part of Georgia Color. Your appreciation and support of these artists are at the heart of this event. I hope you enjoy the show, discover something that speaks to you, and find just the right painting to make your own. A complete schedule of activities can be found in this virtual booklet, on the official website at georgiacolor.org, and in printed materials available in the Exhibition Gallery. Welcome to Georgia Color Plein Air. We’re so glad you’re here!
