These include home, auto, life, business, and health. Even four-legged family members have been considered: APEGA Members are given a preferential rate on pet insurance. Benefits extend more directly into your professional lives, too. Through your mem- bership, you have access to resume writing and reviewing services at a preferential rate. Do Your Circumstances Make You Eligible For a Reduction in Your Annual Dues?
• are unemployed (limited to one year of dues reduction every three years) Reduced membership dues are 25 per cent the annual dues amount plus GST. The remaining 75 per cent is waived — the Member has no obligation to make good at a later date. Are you an active member of the Canadian Armed Forces who holds a Professional Engineer or Professional Geoscientist licence in good standing in at least one another Canadian province or territory? If so, you qualify for an even more significant reduction. HOW TO APPLY Members can only apply for a reduction when submitting their annual renewal
In some circumstances, APEGA waives 75 per cent of a Member’s annual dues. Are you eligible for a dues reduction? Members may apply for a reduction if they: • are unable to work because of health or disability • would like to become a Life Member and are a willing to sign a non-practising declaration • are on maternity or parental leave • are students registered in an undergraduate education program • are students in graduate studies in engineering, geoscience, or business administration
payments and documents; failure to ask by the deadline for annual renewal eliminates the possibility of a dues reduction for that membership year. We do not prorate reductions. Only Members of the following member- ship types — excluding Licensees and Life Members — are eligible for dues reductions:
