Principle Accountabilities

• Manage all devolved budgets and support technically the management of campus-based budgets. • Maintain and improve the Health and Safety performance, Statutory Compliance and Environmental performance across the Estate. • Deliver infrastructure projects to time, cost and quality parameters. • Strategically plan and deliver the Capex and Revenue investment programmes for the Estate. • Manage maintenance and services contracts at a strategic level. • Act as the professional mentor and technical lead for the FM/Venues teams in the campuses. • Forward scan for legislative change affecting the Estate, advise and recommend measures, benchmark best practice in FM/Estates and recommend change to improve the way we manage the Estate.

In addition to the responsibilities listed above, the job holder may be required to perform other duties as assigned by members of the Executive Board from time to time.

The job holder has a duty to take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and of other persons with whom they come into contact at work. The job holder also has a duty to co-operate with the University in complying with any statutory duty or requirement concerning health and safety at work. In particular, they must familiarise themselves with the Health and Safety Policy and its safety and fire procedures.
