Lyft is working on offering EVs nationwide and has a partnership with Hertz allowing drivers to rent Tesla vehicles. o Once sites are operational the City of San Diego can reach out to shared mobility providers and notify them of the locations and perhaps offer discounted charging. 3.3. Recommendations for working with local utility to coordinate rapid system upgrades (if necessary) and interconnection. o Recommend using Dry Utility Consultant to expedite the design process. Casco Contractors can recommend a dry utility partner to facilitate the process and complete upgrades quickly. 3.4. Recommendations for working with other energy providers (CCAs, solar, battery, energy service companies, etc.) Including 100% renewable energy requirements. o Installing solar canopies with battery storage is possible in parking lots. Casco Contractors can work with the City of San Diego to determine options for renewable energy requirements. 3.5 Recommendations for working with financing institutions and capital markets for major or multiple site deployments for EVSE infrastructure. o Recommend having a business model showing the upfront costs for the EVSE infrastructure along with the estimated payback period to present to financing institutions and capital markets.
