AESTHETICALLY PLEASING AND BOASTING EXCEPTIONAL PERFORMANCE IN YEAR-ROUND CLIMATE CONDITIONS, IT IS PARTICULARLY SUITED TO THE UK AND IRISH CLIMATE… Grant’s Aerona R290 heat pump offers solution for a wider range of properties
The new Grant Aerona R290 heat pump range features five models in outputs from 4kW to 16kW and is currently the only heat pump range to offer this diversity, meaning it can provide heating solutions to a wider range of properties. As well as futureproofing properties, the Aerona R290 range enables the matching of capacity to heating demand in self builds and newbuild developments, whilst offering installers a variety of options for flexibility in different property types from apartments to detached homes. The range also enables easier upgrades for extensions or increased heating demand in the future. Grant invested £2m in the design and development of this next-generation heat pump, which is aesthetically pleasing, boasts exceptional performance in year- round climate conditions and is particularly suited to the UK and Irish climate. Peter Darcy, Grant R&D Manager, said, “When designing the new heat pump, we listened carefully to our customers. Not only did this influence the aesthetic look of the unit but also the acoustic qualities and, of course, the performance. Reliable high efficiency, sustainability and maximum comfort were also important elements, and the Aerona R290 delivers on all of these.”

“When designing the new heat pump, we listened carefully to our customers.”
As most new build homes are following a modern aesthetic, this was important for Grant to consider during the design phase of the new Aerona R290 heat pump range. Each unit comes in a sleek and stylish black mono bloc finish, with the colourway designed to suit the exterior of many new-build homes. The ultra-low noise levels of the units, which have achieved Quiet Mark accreditation, are the result of innovative sound-reducing features within the units, including acoustic cotton sound insulation in the casing and anti-vibration feet. Where aesthetics and sound are important to many homeowners and self-builders, efficient performance was a top priority of Grant’s R&D team when designing the Grant Aerona R290 range. All five models within the range have been tested to perform in Irish & UK climates. Each model has an energy rating
of A+++ (at 35°C flow temperature) and their outputs have been rated at -5°C air temperature and 55°C water flow temperature. The Aerona R290 range also features a built-in immersion and high capacity 9m head circulation pump.
