millennial kingdom in glory over this was only two years. Look how we find earth. ourselves at this very hour!

D r . T albot : Russia will one day be gin her move toward the land of Pal estine, as godless Communism seeks to gobble up the nations of the earth. She had a very real hand in the af fairs of June, 1967. What we all have witnessed in recent days ought to make us tremble if we don’t know the Lord Jesus Christ as our own personal Saviour. How wonderful it is to realize that the Bible is the most optimistic Book in the entire world. “The grass withers, the flower fades, but the Word of God abideth forever!” If you want to know the great signifi cance of events taking place in the world, then bring them under the lens of Scripture. Prophecy is the hand that lifts the veil concealing from us the future. D r . T albot : It is thrilling to see world conditions in the light of the Word of God. It should not cause us dismay but rather eager anticipation of God’s time-table in the affairs of men. The Bible is the most up-to-date Book in the world. We could profit greatly from an understanding of Russia’s fullest involvement in pro phetic events. She is described as the tremendous host which comes down from the North moving against the land of Palestine. In the 38th and 39th chapters of Ezekiel, we have an excellent picture of this. Let’s con sider something about this. D r . A nderson : The first of Russia’s allies is found to be Persia (Ezek. 38:5). The country’s name was changed to Iran only in 1935. Several decades ago a v e r y significant treaty was signed between Russia and Iran. Basically, in case of war, Soviet forces are allowed passage, without resistance, through Iran into the South. D r . T albot : Again, keep in mind that these are just some of the things that will happen between the translation of the Church and the 1000-year reign of Christ. It will be a period of seven years, known as the 70th week of Daniel. The devil will be at the helm, knowing that his time is short. You know, all of the dictators we have seen are only shadows of what Satan will seek to do through the antichrist. But the next event, the Rapture, could be at any time. There is no prophecy which remains to be fulfilled before this occurs. Let us be sure we have these things firmly fixed in our hearts. It is interesting to realize that whenever Christ is quoted in giving an answer to the time He would re turn, the Gospel writers always cor rectly state that warning of spiritual deception on the part of the devil (Matt. 28:4-8). D r . A nderson : I can’t help but feel that one of the signs of Christ's nearness is what we see today in de clension. Jesus never indicated that the Church would convert the world, but rather that apostasy would in crease. When believers are removed at the Rapture, then apostasy will come into its full bloom and fruition. We are also to expect an increase in wars and threats of wars on every hand. One well-known historian com mented that from the year 1496 B.C. to 1862 A.D. there were only 228 years of peace, while 3130 years were scarred with bloodshed and devasta tion. Add to this the problems of this last century! In the last 300 years there were 286 wars in Europe alone. Over three millenniums more than 8,000 treaties have been concluded, each one vowing an end to man’s in humanity to man. The average time these documents remained in force
