T H E K I N G ’S B U S I N E S S our encouragement the Lord gave us six souls in one evening. These long summer evenings are so propitious for outdoor meetings in these railroad camps. At one place, sitting under an arbor, we found a bunch of men resting, and approaching, we offered them a tract and then began to tell the Gospel story. We had conversed but a little while, when from the other end of the camp we saw coming toward us a group of thirty or more men. We wondered if they had some evil design, for it was a camp where we had a near riot last sum mer, so we lifted our heart up to God to protect us and not allow them to do us any harm. They came into the arbor, increasing the congregation. “Well,” we said, “would you like to have us sing?” We sang a hymn and then for thirty minutes gave them a Gospel message, to which they listened with great respect and at tention, no one moving or speaking. After delivering our message, we gave the men tracts and Gospels of John. If we had wanted to get these men to at tend a mission meeting, it would have been next to impossible to get. them to enter, but there on the ground, we were enabled to reach them with a message. Who knows but there may be a score of those men who will later have re pentance given unto them and they like wise in faith shall call upon God to change their present mode of living? We are encouraged to press on, for His Word shall not return unto Him void. At another camp we approached a young man sitting on the doorstep of his room, and sitting down along side of him, poured the Word in until, one by one, about fifteen gathered to listen, and soon many questions were asked and all seemed convirfced of the truth. The young man with whom we were dealing said he wanted to make a decision and asked us. to return soon. Please pray for more laborers, the fields are white unto the harvest. Who, who, will go?

sire for a change of life that he there and then told God that he did not want to continue his wicked career, and asked Him to change his life. He Confesses now that God has most wonderfully changed his life, giving him a love for God and his fellow men and making him humble, and if God will spare his life he wants to testify to his country men and win them to Christ. It was our privilege to meet him recently on one of our visits to a certain camp. He heard us talking, and entering, told how God had changed his life; telling the story as I have already related it. I asked him h6w he ever escaped the hand of the law, and he admitted very frankly that he whom he served (the devil) pro tected him. When the officers of the law were after him he would cut them down and the bullets would whiz by him, he never receiving so much as a scratch. The devil always enabled him to escape. It is a most wonderful example of the power of God’s Word taking effect in such a life as his. The poor fellow is indeed very contrite and ready to follow the Lord. Through his testimony several men at once accepted the Lord as their Saviour. Oh! how we praise God for His Word for He has said, “I have ex alted my Word above my Name.” “ Cast Thy Bread Upon the Waters” The Lord has permitted us to learn of several conversions of Mexicans who had heard the Word of God from our lips at former times, but who had not made a decision until later, and somehow a sense of solemnity and awe has pervaded us since learning of this later case. Oh! dear reader, how it behooves us to be steadfast, immovable, always abounding In the word of the Lord. One day as we were making out our weekly report we felt somewhat discour aged because we had not been able to report any conversions for a couple of weeks, although we had been faithfully giving out the Word every day, but for
