T HE K I N G ’ S B U S I N E S S ply ignorant. He had been reading the Scriptures for six months, but his mother, a Scientist, was a stumbling block. “X want to know more. I’m from Frisco,” said another, but the “more” brought out rebellion, till the Spirit forced him to face the truth and he went on his way rejoicing with self on the cross and Christ on the throne. It isn’t an *easy thing to stand out in a street meeting and confess to having re ceived Christ, but a very sportily dressed man did this, and then followed the speaker inside, asking for a “Gospel of John,” paying for the same and intend ing to read it with John 20:31 before him. We sized up a neatly dressed man and woman as “newlyweds,” as they stood through three messages at the entrance. “Yes,” said the man, “I’ve been thinking very seriously about this for a . week.” And as we unfolded again God’s simple way of life, he gripped our hand and said “Amen,” to Jesus. The little wo man, over-timid, feared to step over the line. Satan whispered, “It’s too hard to live the Christian life and then, again, if you do, everyone will take advantage of your ‘easy’ state and put it over on you.” Prayer for this little woman is needed. Just pause here and lift your heart for her. Our list is by no means exhausted. Many little ones have come to Jesus here. There are “Not many noble, many mighty, many rich,” but thank God for that blessed letter “M,” so that it is “not many” instead of “not any,” for this young man with all his acquired advan tages, had learned that he was wretched, miserable, poor, blind and naked, and ,it was refreshing to see him drinking deep ly of the Water of Life. Feeling he was saved and being saved, was the experience of another young man. Step by step he was lead to see his utter lost condition. The Sword of the Spirit, the Word of God, was effec tually used and as he saw the finished work of the Lord Jesus, he knelt and thanked God for opening his blind eyes to see the light of life. “Said I not unto thee, if thou wouldst believe, thou shouldst see the glory of God?” This man was followed by a very simi lar case, save that for two, years he had been reading the Bible and thought he was saved, never having, however, real ized and acknowledged that he was lost. “I know not how the Spirit moves, convicting men of sin, Revealing Jesus thro’ the Word, creating faith in Him.” The old question of where Cain got his wife opened the conversation with one who was not antagonistic but sim-
