GROUP EXERCISE SCHEDULE
Joining a fitness group class at Wilmington Country Club is the perfect way to kickstart your fitness journey, no matter where you're starting from. Whether you're new to working out or an experienced fitness enthusiast, our diverse range of class offerings ensures there's something for everyone and our expert instructors will help you set and achieve your personal fitness goals in a supportive and motivating environment. As we head into the new year, it's the ideal time to take charge of your health, challenge yourself, and join a community of like-minded individuals all striving for a stronger, healthier version of themselves. Restorative Yoga Workshop: Join Beth Sheehy for a 90 minute Restorative Yoga workshop at 9:00am on April 12th in the Yoga Room. Restorative yoga is a gentle, passive style of yoga that focuses on relaxation and stillness. It's designed to help the body and mind unwind, release stress, and find balance. Please sign up on Mindbodyonline.com to reserve your spot in class, $21 per person. Fitness Center Book Club: WCC Fitness is excited to announce a new book club coming to WCC in April! This new book club will choose non-fiction books to read that will cover topics related to fitness, wellness, famous athletes, health, nutrition, sports, motivation, outstanding athletic teams/seasons, just to name a few. We are going to get started reading our first book Open , an autobiography by Andre Agassi. You have the month of April to read our first selection and then we will be meeting Wednesday May 7th at 6:00pm in the Paddle Hut to discuss. If you would like to participate in the discussion please email mkasker@wilmingtoncc.com. (We will need a head count for refreshments for May 7th, so if you plan on attending please email Michelle). If you cannot attend the discussion in May, not to worry, there will be another book selection in July - discussion in August, and one more in October - discussion in November. This book club is open to all members, whatever your fitness level is! National Fitness Week: Did you know that National Fitness Day is happening on Saturday May 3rd? To celebrate this national holiday, the Fitness Center has a great week planned. Fitness Week at WCC will run from Monday May 5th to Friday May 9th, with an Open House on Tuesday May 6th from 7:00am to 12:00pm. During the Open House, there will be instructors, trainers, and physical therapists available to answer your questions, give instructions on how to use the equipment, and offer tips on programs, nutrition and exercise. Enjoy some light refreshments at the Open House and if you attend, you will be eligible for our special drawing at the conclusion of the event! During Fitness Week, you will be able to try one of our group exercise/yoga classes, free of charge. Please sign up for class on Mind Body or email Mkasker@wilmingtoncc.com. In addition, if you workout at the WCC Fitness Center or attend one of the group exercise/yoga classes any day from Monday May 5th to Friday May 9th, you will be entered for a chance to win one of our daily giveaways. Thursday: 30/30 7:30AM, Vinyasa 12:30PM Friday: Golf Fitness 7:30AM, TriFit 9AM Walking Club: The Walking Club meets every Monday for an 11:00am walk around the golf course. Meet in the Fitness Center at 10:55am if you’d like to join! We leave promptly at 11:00am!
