A CA LL FOR PRAYER HELPERS Prayer is work; prayer works; prayer leads to work. The most effective work that any man can do is to pray, because prayer moves the arm o f God. Will you be a prayer helper for the Bible Institute of Los Angeles? Put this great institution on your prayer list. We will gladly send you our monthly Biola World-Wide Prayer Circle letter. Address: Miss Christina J. Braskamp, Paul, in his letter to the Hebrew Christians, reminded them of the great things that Christians o f old accom plished because they were fellow-workers with their God. Abraham left his home and friends to go to an unknown destination because he knew that God was leading him and that God never makes a mistake. Abraham was willing to slay his son, because he knew that his God could raise him from the dead. Moses’ parents defied a king’s com mand because they knew that their God was able to protect their baby son. Moses, when he was grown, chose to work to gether with God rather than to be the son o f an earthly king, for he knew that the king would soon die, but that his God was evterlasting. Other believers won battles, stopped the mouths of lions, saw their dead raised to life, went through fire without being burned, etc. This chapter in He brews is filled with thrilling tales of those who did great things because they obeyed and worked for God. One person with God can accomplish more than a multitude working without Him. Some times God’s commands seemed foolish to the human mind. When they were obeyed in faith, they produced miracles and changed men’s lives. Can your name be added to the list of those who work together with God through faith and obedience? Are you as Christian boys and girls obeying God’s laws and serving Him in every possible way? Perhaps some day God will ask you to go to a distant land for Him, or to live in some unpleasant place for Him. You will have to choose to disobey God and always be unhappy, or to work with Him and see the great things that He does for and with those who work together with Him. In Roumania there are a large num ber of Hebrew Christians, many of them recently converted. Concerning them, the missionary writes: “ Brethren starve. Some have eaten nothing for days but drunk only water. So the food you sent saved many from starvation.” The homelessness, hunger and suffer ing of Jews and Hebrew Christian's in Europe is indescribable. We earnestly plead for your prayers and help in this Christlike ministry.
