THA HOSPITALITY—REVIEW

IT’S BEEN A WHILE, BUT NOW TASkeno IS BACK!

IMPERIAL BRANDS Kirsten Daggar-Nickson Head of Corporate and Legal Affairs

A s restrictions across much of Australia continue to impact hundreds of hospitality businesses, Tasmania is welcoming the reopening of its hotels, cafes and restaurants. “It is great news for Tasmanian business operators who had been forced to minimise capacity as a safety measure during the height of the Covid-19 outbreak in the state,” Head of Corporate and Legal Affairs at Imperial Brands Australasia Kirsten Daggar-Nickson said. “However we know it is a long road to recovery to address the losses experienced as a result of the pandemic.” “While interstate travel is still limited for most of Australia, Imperial Brands Australasia is committed to ensuring its trading partners remain engaged and stocked. “We understand the uncertainty facing businesses and have worked tirelessly to ensure our logistics operations are maintained and shelves stocked,” Ms Daggar-Nickson said. “Since the beginning, Imperial has employed strict measures to ensure Department of Health guidelines are followed to ensure our teams and our trade partners remain safe.” “We know tobacconists across the country, especially in Victoria, have faced increased pressure as business restrictions threaten their operations. We want you to be aware we are working hard behind the scenes to lobby government and business associations to ensure retailers remain within the essential services category both now and in the event of further lockdowns.”

“We had success earlier in the year in NZ, where current stock is largely sourced, when lobbying the government to keep our manufacturing plant open to supply the Asia-Pacific region.” “Our trade partners are our highest priority and we are continually investigating improved ways of working as we navigate this pandemic.” “We welcome feedback or suggestions on how we can further enhance our service to you in these difficult times and encourage you to reach out to your sales representative to discuss any concerns you may have.” “Since the beginning, Imperial has employed strict measures to ensure Department of Health guidelines are followed to ensure our teams and our trade partners remain safe.”
