In 2023, The Auburn and Elk Grove Police Department acknowledged MADD and Impaired Driving Awareness Month by wearing MADD Awareness badges and patches. These badges and patches remind the community about the ongoing problems and tragic results of impaired driving. In addition, the department educates the community about the partnership between Law Enforcement and Mothers Against Drunk Driving.
California released its second Challenge Coin in 2023.
