Designated Driver Program: Los Angeles Rams OC Soccer Club: MADD arm bands on all players, PSA, T-shirt giveaways. Oakland A’s: Non-Profit of the Game, tickets, PA and video board, LinkedIn Post. Provided a grant to create 350 high school athlete wellness kits for baseball and softball players in the Oakland Athletic League. Athletes from Cal Berkeley helped assemble wellness kits. San Fransico Giants: Provided tickets for NorCal LER event. Golden State Warriors, San Francisco Giants, San Jose Sharks, Oakland A’s, Santa Cruz Warriors, San Jose Giants, and Oakland Roots all provided items for NorCal Walk opportunity drawings. West Coast Conference: Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Training – student-athletes from the 9 institutions in the conference. Presentation and discussion. California Collegiate Athletic Association: Student Advisory Committee Presentation, and Service Project – presented victim/survivor story. Athletes assembled close to 300 victim kits to be given to local partners. Cal State Northridge Softball Team: Presentation and victim/survivor story. Oakland Roots: 2 gameday activations. Over 100 people at each game signed up with a safe plan to get home. Big West: PSA at their basketball championship tournaments. West Coast Conference: PA read and logo on the video board for basketball tournaments. Big West, West Coast Conference, and California Collegiate Athletic Association co-hosted the second annual “Student-Athletes Against Drunk Driving” presentation for National Impaired Driving Prevention Month. Over 85 athletes attended from 15 different California campuses. Athletes were given “No More Victims” bracelets to wear over the holidays. Lake Elsinore Storm invited MADD as the non-profit of the game. Fundraiser, PSA, tabling, and first pitch San Diego Loyal invited MADD to share information.
