Our region has some of the UK’s best locations for coastal walks, surfing, cycling, water sports, rock climbing. From adventure sports to laid-back strolls on the beach, there’s something for everyone. Swansea has a thriving live music scene, from smaller gigs to large outdoor stages, there’s always something happening. Enjoy popular events such as 'Tunes on the Bay' or a gig in Singleton Park. Just up the road, one of Wales’ biggest festival, In It Together, has welcomed major artists including Dua Lipa, Stormzy, Arctic Monkeys, Chase & Status, Lewis Capaldi and Anne-Marie. You can also get involved in major events like Swansea's Half Marathon or the Wales Air Show, often attended by the incredible Red Arrows. Add in live sport, comedy nights, theatre shows and pop-up winter wonderland events, and there’s always something going on. Swansea is a vibrant cultural hub, home to the Glynn Vivian Art Gallery and a range of free national museums and galleries. On campus, we have the award-winning Egypt Centre and the Taliesin, hosting live performances, comedy and cinema. When the sun goes down, Swansea’s buzzing nightlife comes alive, with a great mix of bars, clubs and live music venues.
