Coursework Any student who submits work found not to be entirely their original work will receive, at a minimum, a grade of zero for that assignment. The student will be placed on academic probation, and based on the severity of the circumstance, may be terminated from the program. Assignments: It is expected that students will turn in all assignments by the announced due date and time. Ten percentage (10%) points will be deducted on all late assignments. All late work must be turned in within three days after the due date. Any assignments turned in after the three day late period may only be turned in if there are mitigating circumstances approved by the Director of Education or Nursing Department Chair. It is the student’s responsibility to contact the instructor prior to missing due dates on all assignments. Testing Policies Students are expected to adhere to the following policies. Violating any of these policies or compromising the integrity of the assessment process in any way will result in a grade of zero for the exam/quiz, and may result in probation or • No cell phones or headphones. • No talking unless approved by the instructor. • No copying of any exams/quizzes. The use of cell phones to photograph, screenshot, or transcribe exams/quizzes is prohibited. • Students are not allowed to discuss exams/quizzes with anyone who has not taken it. On-campus Exams/Quizzes • No outside material allowed on the desk. • Exams/quizzes must be completed before leaving the classroom. • Calculators are provided for testing when approved by the instructor. Remote Exams/Quizzes • Students must use one device for the exam and the video. • Students must have their full face visible. • Students must not look away from their exams for prolonged periods of time. • No blurring of background Missed Exam/Quiz Policies • Students must take their exams/quizzes on the announced place, date, and time. Ten percentage (10%) points will be deducted on all exams/quizzes that are not completed on the scheduled date and time. • It is the student’s responsibility to contact the instructor in order to arrange for a make-up exam/quiz. Students are required to take the missed exam/quiz on the date determined by the College. All exams/quizzes must be taken on campus on a date within three (3) days of the original exam/quiz date. • The only case in which a final exam can be made up is a mitigating circumstance that must be approved by an Academic Official. • Any student missing an exam/quiz shall not ask other students or the instructor about the exam/quiz or engage in any conversation with anyone regarding the exam/quiz. Doing so is considered unprofessional conduct and academic dishonesty. • Failure to comply with stated policies will result in a grade of zero (0) for the missed exam/quiz. Exam or Written Work Grade Challenge: If a student chooses to challenge a grade received on an exam or any other written assignment during the academic year, the following guidelines must be followed: 1.
