Grace Winery was established in 1923 and sits at the heart of Japan’s winemaking hub Yamanashi. Although multiple varietals are carefully produced, Grace Winery is very passionate about it’s focus on Koshu production. This signature Japanese varietal is grown along the mountainous portion of the region, resulting in more concentration and minerality.
Judges Comments Elegant aromatics of florals, garden herbs, nuts and lemon zest. The tight mid-palate carries a decent amount of richness due to some possible lees contact during maturation. The fruit weight is a little subdued which seems to have dismissed the full potential of this wine’s length and structure. BRONZE MEDAL: 88 points
Judges Comments A deep coloured rosé that displays plenty of confectionary and red fruit flavours. Robust and powerful whilst offering a dry, juicy and plush palate structure. Nice to see this style focus on fruit ripeness rather than residual sugar richness.
