KRSMA Estates is perched on the slopes of Hampi Hills at an altitude of 590 meters above sea level. Unique in many aspects, the terroir consists of iron-rich schist soil which receives minimal rainfall. Temperatures are relatively cool at night, particularly at the time of ripening. Currently all of KRSMA Estates’ wines are single varietals, made from only the best grapes from each harvest. A regulated deficit irrigation system is employed to make up for the low rainfall, while a specific organic fertigation regime drives their effort to ensure they reap the best of their terroir.

Judges Comments Clean, bright and very expressive of primary fruits. The bright ruby colour shows a level of youthfulness in the glass. Classic Sangiovese notes of florals and cherries that are supported with some dry and firm tannins. The structure of the wine sits well on the mid-palate providing a plush fruity finish. BRONZE MEDAL: 89 points
