Sisk, filed with the Clerk of Nor folk Superior Court yesterday, the , town of Cohasset is ordered to with hold from Llewellyn A. Litchfield, of that town, payment of $1,500 voted by the citizens at the annual town meeting in March, 1924, for the loss of 23 hives of bees and twenty chick ens. "The bees had been poisoned -by gathering honey from the blossoms of fruit trees on a neighboring farm that had been sprayed by the town warden. The chickens ate the dead bees with equally fatal results. "The court ruled that the warden had merely done his duty in spraying the fruit trees and the town was not responsible for the loss of bees pois oned by gathering honey beyond the limits of their owner’s property. "Suit had been brought by ten citi- 'zens of Cohasset to stop payment of the money.” The above illustrates the fact that one act may lead to many conse quences. One act of sin blasted the whole of the human race (Rom. 5:12),.. One atonement for sin by Christ has provided salvation for all men (Titus 2:11 R. V.). One Andrew was the cause of Peter’B conversion (John 1:40, 41), and Peter was the means of three thousand being converted (Acts 2:37- 41). One Rehoboam was the instrument to lead many astray (1 Kings 14:21- 30). One act of David’s brought triumph •to the host of Israel (1 Sam. 17:48- 53)1 — F.E.M.
