Of course “ money talks" and many a sad tale bas it to tell. 'Tls better far to fall and fall, than never to have tried at all. You cannot kill a man with kind ness without bis knowing It. Good intentions are of no value un less they crystallize Into actions. Truth 1 b stranger than fiction, and that is why we have so little of it. Most men prefer to be their own prophets and heap up all the honors. Possession of wealth without per sonal wisdom in its use Is worse than waste. A great many pieces of "China" have been broken but some teacups are still left. One favorable thing about President Coolidge is that he has the faculty of keeping cool. Every man must play his own part in the drama of life, but If he Is a good actor it will not be by accident. If the fear of the Lord is the foun tain of life, you will not be found drunken If you drink at that fountain. A good many people have been sick of Mussolini, and he has been sick himself, but he still holds the sword In his hand. It is good for a man to “ die in the harness,” but he should be sure that the vehicle to which he is hitched is going to heaven and not to hell. No man can tell what a day may bring forth, but we are dead sure of one thing, and that is that the news papers will have something new. M FULL SURRENDER “ Whatsoever toucheth the altar shall be holy.” Exodus 2-9:37. “ Lo, we have left all and followed thee." Mark 10:28. • * •* ", Hast thou laid it on the altar— That inmost self o f thine, With all Its hidden idols, Where secret sins entwine? Oh bring it all unworthy, With storm and struggle rift; The altar makes it holy And sanctifies the gift. Hast thou left AH on the altar— Left all and followed Him? Not knowing where He leads thee, The way so strangely dim! Forsaking all for His sake, Counting all things but loss That hold thee back and hinder From taking up thy Cross? This is the path of blessing, Of more abundant life, The secret o f His presence, Hidden from storm and strife. Then bring all to the altar, Whatever it may be. Give All— All shall be given An hundredfold to thee!
