Durban Country Club has not just been restored; its renovation by Golf Data has lifted it to new heights. By Stuart McLean REBIRTH of an iconic course
as the unofficial “home of golf” in South Africa, a place of iconic status. The course where we have hosted 17 SA Open championships in nine different decades and, before rankings existed, was regarded by golfers elsewhere in the world as our No 1. Many would journey from afar on pilgrimages to play DCC, and holes like the par-5 third were included on lists of the greatest golf holes on the planet.
