Advent is a time of waiting and anticipation. Jesus comes into our hearts and homes as an infant. In these darkest months, as always, He is our Light, our Hope, our Peace, our Joy, and our LOVE. This is beautifully reflected in the advent candles, evergreens, and wreaths. With gratitude to God, we rejoice in the many blessings of this past year. Particular gratitude is due for the new life in our locality; in our leadership, with Margaret as our new RCD, and in our Women’s Section and RC family with the first (of many) new members joining us at Christ the King! We look to the New Year ahead with great expectation, excitement and wonder at all God has in mind for the life of our spiritual family. We continue to allow the Spiritual dimension of our charism to enlighten and direct us as we accompany others on their pathway which culminates in two opportunities for Spiritual Exercise Retreats in the early spring; one at Sanctum April 4-7, and one at Entheos, May 2-5. Please also remember those for whom this season is a challenge, those who’ve experienced suffering and loss, and all who struggle in the darkness. As a vibrant community of apostles, may we model Emmanual, God with us, by coming alongside those who suffer this Christmas and continue to faithfully accompany all the souls God entrusts to us with our presence and our prayer.
