Designed for efficient installation via the Hilti facade mounting platform, the system helps reduce build time while enhancing thermal performance and architectural impact.
Refurbishment & Cladding Replacement
R-MER Shield achieves up to A1 fire classification, making it the ideal system to replace any failed facade or combustible cladding that no longer meets Approved Document B building regulations or current fire classification standards. Perfectly suited for replacement cladding projects, the Hilti S2S (Slab to Slab) system fixes directly to the existing concrete floor slabs, minimising disruption to the building occupants.
Thermal Performance Upgrades
R-MER Shield can significantly improve the thermal performance of a building. The inclusion of NyRock ® stone wool insulation provides maximum thermal performance from minimal insulation thickness. This reduces wall to panel distances, increasing rentable and useable space inside the building. The integration of the ventilated void within R-MER Shield prevents heat loss in the winter and heat gain in the summer. This enhances the overall energy efficiency of the building and aligns seamlessly with sustainable construction practices.
