M OVE! Best Kids is a high-en- ergy movement and en- richment program serving children, teens, and adults in the New Orleans area. Founded on the belief that physical activity builds confidence, discipline, and lifelong healthy hab- its, MOVE! Best Kids offers families a positive alternative to traditional after-school and fitness programs. At the heart of the organization is founder and head instructor Jason Church, whose background in martial arts and passion for youth development shape every class. His mission is simple: create a welcoming environment where
students of all ages can grow stronger— physically, mentally, and emotionally— while having fun. MOVE! Best Kids offers a wide range of programs, including kids karate, parkour, after-school care, day camps, summer camps, Parent’s Night Out events, and birthday parties. Each program is intentionally designed to combine structured movement with important life skills such as focus, respect, teamwork, and perseverance. Students are encouraged to challenge themselves, celebrate progress, and build confidence both on and off the mat.
Inclusivity and community are central to the MOVE! Best Kids experience. Programs are accessible to children of all ability levels, fostering a supportive culture where every participant feels valued and motivated. The academy also offers adult classes, including non-con- tact kickboxing and martial arts, giving parents and caregivers opportunities to prioritize their own health and wellness. Under Church’s leadership, MOVE! Best Kids has grown into more than a fitness program. It is a community where families connect, confidence is built, and kids learn skills that last a lifetime.
