Welcome to the Sale Welcome to Bowlin Cattle Company’s 2026 Production Sale! We love the seedstock business and are passionate about raising quality. We are honored to have your attention and interest in our cattle. Thank you to all who took time to visit us this fall during the 2025 Nebraska Angus Tour. Our Mission Statement: Combining the most desirable phenotypic and genomic traits to meet the production demands of the Nebraska Sandhills and the consumer demands of the American Beef Industry.
We may not be the biggest seedstock program around, but small is just concentrated power. We’ve been able to select our breeding pedigrees carefully and deliberately, and we strive to offer the best bulls possible for this area in conformation and genetic value. We feel blessed to share this passion with each other and other producers around that have become our customers. Bulls born and bred to work in the Sandhills will work almost anywhere else. Besides having the deep, easy-keeping design, many of our bulls have elite EPD profiles that make them versatile for all types of producers: cow-calf only, stockers, and end product producers. Because we want to provide the most accurate data possible, we continue to invest in genomic data for our entire herd. We study all pedigrees and EPD values when making our own breeding decisions but always consider foot quality and fertility along with the desired phenotype and performance. This will translate to longevity for our bulls and heifers for both an immediate and long-term benefit for our customers. End product value is the ultimate goal of all cattle producers so that’s why we have identified bulls qualifying for the Certified Angus Beef brand. Again this year, we are offering 11 of our highest quality registered Angus yearling heifers as well as a show quality commercial SimAngus heifer at the sale. Also Included in the bull offering are two SimAngus bulls, Lots 53 & 54. These bulls were raised by Robin & Erick Wickman (E&R) and Kelli and James Meusch, as well as other registered Angus bulls included with ours. They all help out for pre-sale operations like clipping, freeze-branding, pictures, video & advertising, to name a few. We appreciate them very much!
We have individual performance data on each bull and would be happy to have you come and look them over. We strive to have them in perfect condition for their purpose. We would be glad to help you sort out which ones may benefit your operation the most, whether you’re looking for calving ease, maternal ability, performance, carcass, or all 4. They excel in natural thickness, structural correctness, and maternal traits, with special attention paid to foot quality. We like to sell high-quality yearling bulls with expressive maturity and growth because they offer the most economic value to our customers in terms of days on the job and genetic investment dollars. We have spent our lives breeding cattle here in this beautiful place. We have been able to help many local 4-H kids with their projects over the past 30+ years and love every minute of it. We have invested a lot of time serving our area on boards and as volunteers for whatever is needing done. Dale has also been sharing the Word of God with youth and churches across the state for 20+ years now. For the last 2+ years, he has had the opportunity to share his love of Jesus and the Bible while serving as a pastor at two local locations. God is so good. Thanks to our daughters and their husbands for coming whenever we need help: Robin & Erick Wickman & family, Jodi & John Crile, and Kelli and James Meusch. Our family crew helps us randomly throughout the year as well as when we really need it.
