T he Ochsner Andrews Sports Medicine Institute is an award-winning center of excellence, delivering best-in-class orthopedic and sports medicine care to patients and athletes throughout Baton Rouge. As part of this distinguished program, Ochsner Baton Rouge is proud to feature four exceptional hand and upper extremity surgeons who combine their unique expertise with compassionate, patient-centered care. Dr. Charles Cefalu, a fellowship-trained hand and upper extremity surgeon, specializes in complex reconstructions and peripheral neu- ropathy. A Baton Rouge native, Dr. M. Tyson Garon is a board-certified hand surgeon deliv- ering advanced treatment for conditions in- cluding arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome and ligament injuries. Dr. Cristina Graphia, also a Baton Rouge native, is a fellowship-trained surgeon specializing in treating chronic and traumatic conditions of the hand, wrist and el- bow. Dr. William Hubbard, a board-certified or- thopedic surgeon, specializes in hand and wrist procedures. Together with the broader ortho- pedic team, these accomplished physicians are providing world-class orthopedic and sports medicine care for the Baton Rouge region. How is Ochsner involved in our communi- ty? Ochsner Baton Rouge is deeply committed to the community through initiatives that promote health, education and well-being. Our Athletic Training Program consists of 17 full-time athletic trainers supporting 15 high schools, a community recreation league and the Baton Rouge Rougarou baseball team, providing expert care to students and athletes at minimal to no cost. Through a partnership with Elite Training Academy, we opened Elite Training Complex –Burbank, a sports medicine complex offering clinical care, physical therapy and performance training. Additionally, we support STEM education and the Baton Rouge

Ochsner Discovery School, collaborate with Southern University on the Jag Mobile, and provide volunteer opportunities for employees, reinforcing our dedication to a healthier, stronger Baton Rouge. Our services include performance training to enhance endurance and agility, personalized physical therapy plans and ad- vanced sports medicine treatments for concus- sions, sprains and tears.
