Health Insurance: UNK offers a student health insurance plan for students enrolled in six or more credit hours in a degree-seeking program. Graduate students are eligible if registered for at least one credit hour in a degree-seeking program. For information, go online: uhcsr.com or contact UNK Student Health at 308-865-8218 . To enroll in the plan, go to uhcsr.com and enter Kearney for the school's name. International students are required to have/purchase health insurance while studying in the U.S. To ensure that all international students have adequate coverage while in the U.S., students are required to purchase the UNK Student Health Insurance Plan. COUNSELING CENTER go.unk.edu/counseling Counseling Center is an on-campus mental health clinic that offers confidential professional mental health counseling to students. Our counseling team consists of licensed mental health practitioners and Masters level interns, who are dedicated to providing services that assist students with challenging life events and stress management. go.unk.edu/counseling-health Located inside the Memorial Student Affairs Building (MSAB). SHC includes: Student Health, Counseling, Loper Mental Health Outreach and Health Promotion. Eligibility for Student Health & Counseling Services If you're taking on-campus classes, you automatically have access to SHC — it's covered by your student fees! Fully online students can opt in. Just bring a photo ID when you visit.

HEALTH PROMOTION OFFICE go.unk.edu/health-promotion The Health Promotion Office oversees Peer Health Education, a student organization dedicated to creating a healthier student body through programming and educational presentations. Its three core areas of focus are alcohol education, healthy living and mental health promotion.

STUDENT HEALTH go.unk.edu/student-health An on-campus (MSAB #184), primary medical care clinic for students staffed by full and part-time fully licensed and qualified nurse practitioners and registered nurses. On-campus students have automatic access to Student Health through paid fees. Any additional costs are nominal and always discussed. Some of the services offered: • Evaluations, vaccinations and medications • Simple procedures • Physicals for sports, surgery, or study abroad • Basic lab services Walk-ins are welcome. However, please note that scheduled appointments are preferred and given priority.

UNK’S CARE TEAM go.unk.edu/careteam-report UNK’s CARE Team is here to support students facing tough situations — like stress, illness, loss, or financial struggles. This team of professionals from across campus reviews referrals and helps find the right resources to assist students in need. To submit a referral, scan the QR code above.
