COUNSELING CENTER go.unk.edu/counseling Counseling Center is an on-campus mental health clinic that offers confidential professional mental health counseling to students. Our counseling team consists of licensed mental health practitioners and Masters level interns, who are dedicated to providing services that assist students with challenging life events and stress management. Services include: • Mental health assessments • Individual counseling • Group counseling • Substance use assessments Making an Appointment Counseling services are offered by appointment only. You can schedule an appointment or ask a question by calling us at 308.865.8248. Eligibility for Counseling Services If you’re taking on-campus classes, you automatically have access to the Counseling Center — it’s covered by your student fees. Fully online students can opt-in. Just bring a photo ID when you visit.

Nebraska Medicine, the most comprehensive health network in the region, will assume management of student health operations, bringing experienced providers and a continued commitment to delivering exceptional care right on campus. Location: The Student Health Center will be located in the Health Science Education Complex II, a brand-new facility on the west side of campus. This space offers an updated, modern clinic designed to support student health and wellness. Services: • Injury and illness care (e.g., respiratory infections, stomach illnesses, strains). • S imple procedures (e.g., treatment of warts, ingrown toenail removal). • P hysical exams (wellness, sports and travel physicals). • P sychiatric evaluation, education and medication management. • Lab testing. • Immunizations. Five visits per academic year are covered by student fees. Appointments are required for care. Call 308-865-8218 to schedule.

HEALTH PROMOTION OFFICE go.unk.edu/health-promotion The Health Promotion Office oversees Peer Health Education, a student organization dedicated to creating a healthier student body through programming and educational presentations. Its three core areas of focus are alcohol education, healthy living and mental health promotion.

UNK’S CARE TEAM go.unk.edu/careteam-report UNK’s CARE Team is here to support students facing tough situations — like stress, illness, loss, or financial struggles. This team of professionals from across campus reviews referrals and helps find the right resources to assist students in need. To submit a referral, scan the QR code above.

Health Insurance: UNK offers a student health insurance plan for students enrolled in six or more credit hours in a degree-seeking program. Graduate students are eligible if registered for at least one credit hour in a degree-seeking program. For information, go online: uhcsr.com or contact UNK Student Health at 308-865-8218 .
