There were many questions and much confusion surrounding both this issue and the proposed policy, 1 including the use of “opt in” or “opt out” provisions among other things. Ultimately after much debate, 2 the following motion was made:

THE LSMS PRESIDENT WILL APPOINT AN AD HOC COMMITTEE TO SERVE AS THE TASK FORCE ON PRIVACY POLICY AND REPORT BACK TO THE BOARD AT ITS NEXT REGULARLY SCHEDULED MEETING WITH RECOMMENDATIONS ON A PATH
FORWARD.
10 11 Dr. Stevens then appointed George Ellis, MD, Gabe Rivera, MD, Lance Templeton, MD, Amberly 12 Nunez, MD, and Blake Denley to serve on the task force. He then asked Ms. Bailey to serve as the staff 13 liaison and resource for the group. 16 Staff provided the board with a list of award nominees solicited from the membership.
