Our recommendation for heifer bulls is determined by reviewing the bull’s birth weight and EPDs, as well as the dam’s previous progeny to verify there is no high birth weights for at least two generations. **** When creating our contemporary groups at weaning, we keep our groups large making them more meaningful. We use the same contemporary groups, then, for yearling groups.
