W elcome to our 19th sale offering of JC Heiken Angus and Sons bulls! We are pleased to once again offer you the top 150 of 350 yearling bulls along with 80 yearling heifers out of the heart of our herd. Our family has ranched at Broadview, Montana for 4 generations, devloping an elite Angus herd focusing on fertitlity, depth, efficiency and good feet. This year’s offering includes bulls off some of the nation’s top herd sires, as well as some of our own tremendous sires we have hand picked over the past several years. The EPDs on these bulls have been enhanced using AGI’s AngusGS testing, with parentage verification. We AI a large portion of our cows in the spring. The bulls were weaned in mid September and were fed a ration of alfalfa hay and barley hay along with wheat midds, corn and beet pulp. The bulls are developed in large pens where they get lots of exercise, ensuring good, sound feet and are ready to work for you. We try to produce bulls weighing 1250 - 1400 pounds by the time we deliver in early April. We will winter them until then at no charge, with free delivery. In order to obtain more accurate readings, we wait to fertility test until later March when the bulls are older and the weather is warmer; at that time, all bulls will be fertility tested by our vet, Dr. Dael Householder, DMV, and guaranteed fertile before delivery. Feel free to stop by the ranch anytime to preview the bulls, see the cows, or simply say hello. We will once again host a free luncheon before the sale, so come early.
