Wow, what an exciting time to be in the cattle indus- try. Record high prices for all classes of cattle across the nation. A very welcoming change of pace for all of us who sell grass. A time when the cost of produc- tion is actually going to be compensated accordingly for the high-quality beef that we all produce. Nev- ertheless, what goes up must come down and we as breeders now need to be proactive and be prepared
for when that day comes. How do we do that? We believe that the answer still is with something that is 100% free and underutilized in the industry. HETEROSIS . A quality Hereford or Red Angus bull mated to a commercial man’s diversely bred black hided cow. In our 2026 offering (much like years passed) you will find large contempo- rary groups of ½ brothers backed by a very closely bred cowherd. In which will produce bulls that will go on and sire groups of feeder cattle that look alike and perform alike in the yard and on the rail. And in turn, you will be left with sought-after heifer mates with built in added value. Our cowherd is run and culled very hard with production and value in mind. We demand our cattle to calve with ease, possess lots of maternal ability, breed back on time, wean a quality and profitable calf, all while being low maintenance and thrive in our harsh Eastern Montana environment. We are very proud of the fact that every bull that is offered was born and raised out of his true natural mother. We have no issue with the tool of embryo transfer, but we believe running our factory the way we do it demands the cream to come to the top. In turn, we are left with cattle that are tried and true in which should be a reassurance for not only us but for the commercial man making an invest- ment every year on bulls. Offering these bulls the way we do not only works well for us but also, we think is the best for our valued customers. A more one-on-one interaction in which we can best sort bulls for your operation and budget. We are on a first come first serve basis but that is also a way that we strive to have quality throughout our offering.
