D r. Sheryl N. Brown refers to Harmony Health, her primary care practice, as “a labor of love.” She spent years working in primary care but decided to establish a practice to continue pursuing her passion while supporting her family and life balance, thus Harmony Health was created in June 2024. The practice serves all ages in the community, from newborns to the elderly. “I truly believe in what family medicine offers and I feel its true essence has been somewhat lost,” Dr. Brown said.

At the current location at I-97 Business Park, the single-story office building is spacious, welcoming, with plenty of light in the waiting room, so that patients do not feel confined. By working with St. John Properties, Harmony Health was able to quickly start serving patients. “They were instrumental. I think they did a fantastic job. The goal was to have us operational and open in three months, and St John Properties met the goal. One of Dr. Brown’s proudest achievement this year, for her practice, was raising money for breast cancer, which has impacted many in their community. When Harmony Health reached its anniversary in June 2025, they decided instead of a party or dinner, to raise money for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The goal was to raise $500 in fourth months — they raised over $700 through patient

contributions! The campaign allowed their patients to share in the one-year anniversary celebration. Surpassing the goal speaks volumes and for that Dr. Brown, on behalf of Harmony Health, felt their gratitude for the health care she provides to the community.

Accessibility and attentiveness drive Harmony Health’s business model. Dr. Brown believes everyone deserves health care, which is why Harmony Health created a program for those without insurance. The practice recently started a program that allows uninsured patients to pay a membership fee to receive medical care. Insurance gaps are expected for some patients in the upcoming year, and this helps alleviate their concerns. “Some of our patients have already been affected, and we are creating a bridge for patients to maintain health care at Harmony Health.” Dr. Brown wants each patient to feel valued; through a solo care model, she gets to know each patient, resulting in sustained health care management. We are a solo practice, not a corporation, therefore we spend more one-on-one time with our patients.”

“We have an understanding of the

need in the community, and we are trying to help meet those needs.” –Dr. Sheryl N. Brown, Harmony Health
