AF&PA Releases Q2 2024 Boxboard Quarterly Report
The American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) released the Q2 2024 Boxboard report. Total Boxboard production in Q2 decreased 1 percent compared to Q2 2023. The box- board operating rate was 88.5 percent, up 2.5 points from the same quarter last year and up 0.7 points year-to-date. Solid Bl. Folding — Domestic production increased 13 percent compared to Q2 2023. Solid Bleached Boxboard unmade orders were up 29 percent compared to the end of the previous quarter and increased 35 percent compared to June 2023. Uncoated Recycled Boxboard production increased 3 percent compared to Q2 2023, and was up 2 percent when compared to the same 6 months of 2023.
