Grâce à son concept de mini-galeries, l’organisme sou- haite intégrer des œuvres artistiques dans des lieux publics fréquentés, permettant ainsi aux citoyens de profiter de créations locales dans leur quotidien. Les visiteurs peuvent ainsi passer au Complexe sportif pour admirer une partie de la collection actuelle de la Galerie CAPRAC,
mettant en valeur le talent d’artistes de la région. Artistes exposés Plusieurs artistes sont présentement à l’honneur dans cette mini-galerie, notam- ment : Noëlline Marineau, Valérie Major, Lisa Maidens, Caro Galand, Amy DeGrace, et Nathalie Labelle. Un accès culturel au cœur de la communauté En multipliant ces espaces d’exposition
dans différents bâtiments municipaux et lieux communautaires, CAPRAC et ses par- tenaires souhaitent favoriser la diffusion culturelle et encourager l’appréciation des arts visuels à l’échelle locale. council resolution confirming that the muni- cipality has no objection to the proposed communications tower site and considers the request complete. Long-standing application with multiple lapses The communication tower proposal has been under consideration for more than a decade. Council first accepted the original appli- cation in November 2014. However, that
approval expired after three years. A first extension was granted in November 2018, but that approval also lapsed after another three-year period. And finally, they approved a further extension in February 2023, which similarly expired after three years. Extension granted until 2029 With the latest resolution, council confir- med it has no objection to Rogers’ proposed tower location and agreed to issue a letter of concurrence supporting a new prolongation
of the application. The extension would remain valid until November 30, 2029. Municipal officials noted that the muni- cipality considers the request complete, allowing Rogers Communications to conti- nue moving forward with the project within the extended timeframe. Further steps in the process will depend on Rogers Communications and any remai- ning regulatory or consultation requirements.
