Aug. 26, 2024) (consent decree entered in an action to resolve claims alleging that the company subjected a class of Black and Hispanic employees to a work environment with open use of racial slurs and derogatory language, display of the Confederate flag, and distribution of humiliating and degrading assignments based on race and national origin). 8. $1.5 million – EEOC v. Kanes Furniture LLC, Case No. 23-CV-2067 (M.D. Fla. Dec. 16, 2024) (consent decree entered in an action to resolve allegations that the company failed to hire women for delivery and warehouse positions due to their gender in violation of Title VII). 9. $1.25 million – EEOC v. Aug. 27, 2024) (consent decree entered in an action to resolve claims alleging that the company subjected Black employees to harassment because of their race in violation of Title VII). 10. $1.25 million – EEOC v. National Telecommuting Institute, Case No. 23-CV-121 (W.D. Tex. Aug. 8, 2024) (consent decree entered in an action to resolve claims alleging that the company violated the ADA when it did not pursue placement or referral of blind and low-vision job applicants as telephone-based customer service agents).
