PRINCIPAL ’ S MESSAGE
Welcome to our award - winning students, their families, teachers,
school councillors, distinguished guests, and our wonderful community partners to our third Award Night.
This year is the first year of subject - based awards which are in line with the new Department of Education Teaching & Learning Model. The College will issue eight academic excellence subject awards from Prep to Year 10, with VCE awards remaining as subject - based awards. The strength of our College is our ability to integrate, challenge and implement contemporary curriculum programs effectively across both the Primary and Secondary Campuses, to create a culture of excellence in learning and an environment of high expectation. Our award winners lead by example and are a credit to themselves and to their families who provide encouragement, support and guidance each and every day. The Lakes South Morang College ’ s ability to operate as a high - performing school is underpinned by the successful and positive partnerships it fosters between students, teachers, families and the community. To acknowledge the importance of this commitment, the College has engaged with our renowned learning partners and providers to present awards in the multi - disciplines of their expertise. The knowledge and experience that our extended community instils to our programs is invaluable and pivotal to our success. Finally, to our wonderful and committed teachers, support staff and School Council, thank you for believing in our young people and leading the journey. I hope everyone has a memorable evening in a venue that befits this occasion and is as proud as I am of our student achievements.
