The Lakes South Morang College Newsletter PRINCIPAL REPORT
This year, we had 100% student completion, which is ahead of last year. Well done to the team of students, families and teachers for the work put into our seniors over all their years of learning. Our commitment to high expectation has only served to create an environment of professional growth surrounded by improved and purposeful classroom and facilities that are prerequisite for high impact learning. In addition to the various building upgrades, we are very excited about the new learning devices that will be installed over the break on the Primary Campus and the air conditioning on Secondary. Whilst our infrastructure program comes to an end, we are thankful to the staff who lead the facilities upgrades and their dedication and attention to detail. Our School Council has been enormous with their support and guidance. It is also their explicit expectation that we continue to provide a beautiful and immaculate learning environment for years to come. As a College we would like to thank Amanda Farrelly, the School Council President, and all school councilors Council for their commitment and dedication to fundraising activities and tireless approach to maintaining fidelity in processes and a high level of school pride. On behalf of Ms Lee, Mr Abney - Hastings and I, congratulations to all 700 plus students on your super efforts, dedication, approach to and quality of learning demonstrated this year. To our 500 plus families, your support has been everything to us, and there is no way we could achieve all that we have without your ideas, support, and care.
Have a safe and relaxing holiday season and a prosperous 2025.

MESSAGE FROM THE EDITOR I just wanted to take this opportunity to celebrate not only the final issue of the College Newsletter for 2024, but also acknowledge and thank all who have contributed to the 21 issues over the year. In particular I would like to
thank the principal team; Mrs Lee, Mr Abney - Hastings and Mr Panas for their ongoing support and regular reports. Thankyou to Mrs Ylias and Ms Hayton, along with their fantastic student leaders who have also ensured each issue celebrates student voice and learning across the College. Thankyou to Amanda and the members of School Council who have embraced the newsletter and have worked collaboratively with me to develop articles and ideas for future issues. Each fortnight the College Newsletter provides our community with not only a snapshot of what has been achieved but also a celebration of connections we are building and opportunities and events coming up. In our final issue of The Lakes South Morang College Newsletter we have our 2024 Primary and Secondary school captains reflection, filmed at our Awards Night, along with a celebration of all the End of Year award winners from the night. If you are unsure of what your child needs to begin 2025 or how the beginning of Term 1 will look, you will also find this information in this issue.
Thankyou to everyone who takes the time to read what is put together each fortnight. From myself and my team of staff who support each issue, have a wonderful and safe holidays.
