King’s College London is rated among the world’s top universities and ranked sixth in the UK for the quality and quantity of its research activity. Since its foundation in 1829 King’s has defined itself in terms of its service to society, and it now has some 29,000 students and more than 8,000 staff members. King’s Strategic Vision 2029, will take the University to its 200th birthday, and has pledged that its staff and students will continue to help make the world a better place. Reporting to the Director of Environmental Sustainability, this is a strategic post that will lead on the management of the utilities budget and consumption to achieve long term energy and cost security for the university. This will include all aspects of procurement, contracts, forecasting, bill validation, recharging and reporting. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing our ISO50001 compliant energy management system. The role would suit energy management professionals with extensive experience in identifying and managing energy, water and carbon reduction opportunities and preparing effective business cases to gain support and financial investment. Demonstrable success in leading the design, delivery and management of a utility metering strategy will be highly advantageous.
