Brothers, global export whisky specialists and co-founders of Turntable Spirits, Alasdair and Gordon, have set out to change the perception of Blended Scotch Whisky. In addition to their expertise in Export Markets, Alasdair’s background includes learning from the legendary Master Blender Billy Walker while working at BenRiach Distillery and GlenAllachie; while Gordon’s repertoire include Inver House, Douglas Laing & Co, and various tasting panels. In pursuit of giving blended whiskies a new voice, Alasdair and Gordon are pushing boundaries and paying attention to detail. Each brings their 10+ years experience in the whisky industry and their main focus is cask management - skillfully blending small batches in favour of depth and flavour for each dram. When asked: Why the name Turntable Spirits? The brothers responded, “We love the connection between whisky and music since both have a rare ability to take the drinker/ listener to a different place and time. With Turntable, the idea is to ‘flip the record on the ordinary’ and change the perception of blended whisky.” Other fun names for consideration were: Prismatic (breaking blends down to different components) and Whisky Felons (breaking the rules, doing things differently). Fall 2023 will bring a preview allocation in Alberta ($99.99) and British Columbia ($119.99) with the core products being released after their launch at the Victoria Whisky Festival in January 2024.

Bottled at 46% and non chill-filtered these three brand new tracks are likely to strike a cord.
