1. Read verses 1–6. Describe what was happening.
2. How did Nehemiah and the workers respond to the plot of physical vio- lence? (See vv. 7–9.)
3. What strikes you about the way that Nehemiah rallied the people? (See vv. 10–14.)
4. Everyone leads someone. Given this fact, what aspect of Nehemiah’s lead- ership (vv. 1–14) would you like to incorporate into your own leadership? Consider your home, workplace, church, and community.
