LESSON 26
SECOND EXODUS WRAP-UP
As we come to the end of The Second Exodus study, it’s important to stop and re- flect on the truth we have learned and apply it to our lives.
DAY 1
The Second Exodus Study
One of the primary purposes of The Second Exodus study was to learn and under- stand the biblical history of how the Lord brought back the Jewish people from exile. In this study we have been reminded of God’s big picture plan to send the Messiah (promised in Genesis after the fall of Adam and Eve) and bring about the new covenant. This post exilic time frame is just one part of God’s epic story that leads to the arrival of the Savior. 1. Summarizing a study covering hundreds of years of biblical history is diffi- cult. Take a few moments to reflect and scan lessons 1–25. What are 3–5 new things that you learned? (They could be things about God, about learnings in general, or about how the Old Testament connects to the New Testament.)
2. Because of this study, how have you seen God mercifully giving the Jewish people opportunities to repent long after they deserved? Take a moment to reflect on God’s mercy in your own life and write down how He has shown you mercy in this season of life.
3. Considering The Second Exodus study, how have you grown to appreciate and understand the new covenant?
